Why ABCom exists
In 2005 Miranda Dayaram founded Covenant Logistics in Durban, after an employer turned down her proposal for a new division as one that would "never work." She had already identified 20 prospective clients. The idea worked.
Growth didn't come easily. By 2009 the business was losing around R400,000 a year. That's when Miranda and Rajay Dayaram began working with Coach Trevor Clark of ActionCOACH Business Mastery, who taught them to build a business that works without them but still sustains them.
Within a year the loss had turned to profit. Over the next decade turnover grew from R4 million to over R28 million. Along the way they bought and sold a second business and established a third. After 14 years Miranda stepped away for a full year, and the business kept running.
Sixteen years of ActionCOACH, now shared.
Sixteen years as ActionCOACH clients taught us that a stronger business isn't built on longer hours. It's built on clear numbers, a capable team and systems that run without you.
ABCom now works alongside Coach Trevor Clark, our ActionCOACH partner, to help other South African business owners install the ActionCOACH Business Operating System (ABoS) and achieve what we have.
